They come equipped with crossbows (for shooting rope arrows no doubt) which they will use against Kain if he stands off. However, these bodacious bobby-soxers are not master thieves and will be rendered into bloody chunks before they can make off with any loot. Unless Kain can smell human blood while its still in the body, Garret is untouchable. These babes are definitely not as good as Garret! If Garret had an anti-vampire weapon, he would definitely get the drop on Kain. of Attacks: 3 Unblockables: Yes Ranged Attack: Yes Grab-able: Yes Decapit-able: Yes Danger Factor: Medium-Low In his quest for vengeance, Kain may stumble upon the truth faster than he will care for. ![]() They appear to be human, but do not speak perhaps they are a sub-sect of the Sarafan Order, or they may be working under the auspices of another group entirely. Footpads are not to be feared unless Kain has low life, or is feeling particularly careless. They are pathetically weak compared to the members of the Sarafan for the unsanitary conditions have brought footpads and the lower classes nothing but physical misery. Kain, however, takes a more enlightened view once he has fed upon their claw rendered corpses and decorated the street with their bloody viscera. These are the low life street scum mortals fear whether they in Khare or Meridian. of Attacks: 3 Unblockables: No Ranged Attack: No Grab-able: Yes Decapit-able: Yes Danger Factor: Low Many times, they are crucial to switch throwing puzzles and should not be killed until the puzzle is solved and by-passed.įootpad Max No. They die easily and while the amount of "good blood" Kain receives from these wretches is of paramount importance early in the game, they matter little in later stages so do not go about killing every civilian you see. of Attacks: 0 Unblockables: No Ranged Attack: No Grab-able: Yes Decapit-able: Yes Danger Factor: Super-LowĬivilians cannot harm Kain unless they alert armed opponents to his presence (especially detrimental in mist-form). After a while though, the simple blood from a civilian will no longer serve a purpose in terms of nourishment (they give so little) and Kain must seek out more dangerous adversaries to sate his blood thirst. As Umah suggested early on, it is unwise to leave anyone alive when Kain can feed because he will need all the lore he can earn. Later, as monsters appear, Kain will abandon all pretense of guise and simply does what he does best: KILL. Humans will regard Kain as a nobody due to the beguile employed, although Sarafan are not as easily fooled by "vampire mind tricks" as the run-of-the-mill citizen. Humans are relatively weak once you learn to exploit the change in altitude death grab and toss.
